Dear Diary,
The first night was awful!
there was no clean water to drink
no food and i was starving!
i shouldnt have joined the club, because if i didnt i wouldn't have came on this trip
and not gone abored i cant find my friends they dissapered!
i dont know what to do this is horrible!

I can understand that you might feel like to begin with but being stuck on the island is a test of your character's resilience. Is s/he going to moan about things the whole time or find something productive to do to make life better? Looking forward to finding out.
